CURRENT MISSION

I plan on travelling in June from San Antonio to NYC then across the US to San Francisco in 4 months by any means necessary. Hopefully I'll be able to get a ride from either 2 friends that have offered it or I'll take the bus up to NY then from there...

ABOUT ME

I've travelled to a few states when I was in college, since college I've settled in San Antonio, got married, helped father a daughter and been divorced. Since my divorce... I've been a dedicated father and work 3 jobs to help support myself and her. But in the past 3 years I've been planning a trip across the US. I've been working 2 jobs for over 7 years and I need a break. This trip is something I've wanted to do since 1994-95, and now that I'm getting into my late 30's I think it's now or never. I know not seeing my daughter for 4 months is gonna kill me but I plan on making her as much apart of this trip as possible by sending her postcards, calling and taking pics of whatever toy she sends with me at all my stops and sites. Now I just need a little help with whatever couches I may rest upon from here to NY and from NY to CA. I don't have a complete route planned out yet, but will start doing that as the year progresses.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I've been couchsurfing just with friends and sleeping at the shop I work at to help save money to cover bills while I'm gone for 4 months. Soooooo I can help whomever needs a place find a place or by all means you can sleep at the shop I work at. After I return to San Antonio or Austin and get an apartment... my couch and home will be open to whomever needs it, well as long as they check out and are someone that I can relate to.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As far as my couchsurfing experience... I've only surfed with friends, never people from the site.. but I'm hoping to change that to meet a lot of wonderful people in the process.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've helped create an amazing daughter. I long to go back to Salt Lake City and sit in the "Livingroom" up in the foot hills. It's been over 10 years since I've been there and to me it's probably my favorite place I've visited. But maybe it was the rum. we'll this time sober. :)

I'm an artist. I've been working in the sign business for 10 years february. I also work at a frame shop and a local Subway. I love to cook. I'm pretty big into music and movies. Not that I can play a damn thing, but I usually know what's coming out and what's good. what I'd like to learn is whatever. knowledge is a beautiful thing.
