About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm working in Cork after some travelling around Europe. I think I'm going to stay here for more than some time... but I also know that I'm a sailor, so who knows where winds will blow?
ABOUT ME
I am a BA Languages and Literatures, i.e. French and English literature and I currently work as a Hotel Receptionist in Cork.I am a little bit shy, though I try to overcome this flaw by playing extrovert and looking for any point I might have in common with the person I'm talking to: when I can't find any, God help me.I'm really easygoing, I'm not fussy or anything, nor am I squeamish or picky... except when it comes to music. In any case, I don't get easily offended/shocked/impressed.I like people that like talking and tell a lot about theirselves and their experiences: I think everyone of us has something to teach and many things to learn, always, to and from anyone.
PHILOSOPHY
I have changed my way of looking at life many, many times in the last 25 years and I'm sure I'll be changing it again.Anyway I always try to see things in perspective: it might be a crappy time right now, but I know that it will improve some other time.I believe that we are more sons and daughters of our own harsh times than of our happy experiences.

Interests
As my major suggests, I love reading, though it has become more a job than a pleasure over the years: whenever I try and read something I want to, I feel guilty, because I always have something that I could read for a university exam, so I tell myself "why would you treat yourself with total relax, when you can actually read AND do something that truly serves your duties?". This way, I always end up reading books for exams leaving my own books unfinished. *sighs*I also love making music. I can (sort of) sing and play piano, but I can't do both things at once. I sing in a rock band with a couple of friends of mine, just for fun. I also own a guitar, but to say that I can play it would be classed as monstrosity.Whenever I have time, I love baking, but this doesn't mean that I'm good at it...

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I listen to many different kinds of music, but I'm picky in any of these. I sing Metallica, but Ella Fitzgerald too. The two groups that mean the most to me, anyways, are the Beatles and Pink Floyd.Movies: I'm anything but an expert on cinema. I like stories that are not banal and movies that are well played, period. I hate horror movies because I can't sleep at night if I watch them! If I don't shed at least one tiny tear over a movie, it means that I didn't appreciate it.Books: there is a widespread literary theory that says that in any literature trends alternate. After a dyonisiac/chaotic/anti-classical trend, an apollonian/ordered/classicistic one follows. I love the dyonisiac.
