About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel and have as many amazing experiences as I can!
ABOUT ME
I'm an Aussie who came over on a two year work permit and hasn't quite found my way home yet. I love to explore new places and meet people. It's so humbling to find your way around a country where you don't speak the language, understand the system or sometimes even know what it is you're eating! It's so easy to get caught up in the routine of everyday life and travelling awakens all the senses and re-energises you.
PHILOSOPHY
I try not to have any regrets. I may not like the way certain things have worked out, but better to take a chance than not try at all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Although I live in a share house and can't host people, I'm keen to join activities and maybe show people around this big old city.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had a blast hanging out with the couch surfers in budapest! Never thought I'd be playing competition frisbee on my first day in the city, but it ended up being one of the highlights!
Interests
Quite a keen photographer. I try to keep fit by going to zumba classes and walking around. Quite enjoy a bit of salsa dancing. Had some lessons in Cuba and have been struggling to find teaching here of an equal standard. Also I've been trying to get into a bit of meditation and I practice pilates regularly. I like the idea of a regular yoga practice, but never managed to quite keep it going. The sun salutations are a lovely stretch in the evening after a long day at work though.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books:
Very eclectic. Depends entirely on my mood. Sometimes a trashy chic lit is in order. At other times I can get lost in a Wilbur Smith/John Grisham/Paulo Coelho. I'm currently reading Vasily Grossman's Life and Fate. I'll admit it's taking a bit to get into.
Music:
Again, very eclectic. Listened to some Powderfinger the other day which was good. I'm pretty easygoing with my music.
Movies:
I'm a sucker for a disaster movie. The trashier the better. Have you ever noticed that the dog always survives, haha? I usually prefer an action-type movie.
