heading to New Zealend for a few months looking to meet new people and basicly just have a great trip

ABOUT ME

Im 25 and work as a rafting guide in Montana and Idaho in the summer. I have been guiding for about 6 years and love every minute of it. I have lived in a lot of different places in the US as my Dad was in the military when I was young. I attended the University of Idaho where I graduated with a degree in Resource Recreation and Tourism. I enjoy most outdoor sports and am interested in getting to more "extreme" sports like skydiving ect. I have wanted to travel more with New Zealand being at the top of my list and I finally made it a reality and will be traveling in NZ for three months! I am traveling with my best friend Jared and I will let him tell you a bit about himself.

I'm 26 years old and I grew up in a small town on a family farm that I have worked on my entire life. I got my bachelors degree in Ag-Business. I love enjoying the outdoors hiking, skiiing and water sports. I love to travel and see new places and usually once a month am flying some where to visit a friend and see new sites while meeting new people and seeing how where they live is different from my life. I always am smiling and laughing and trying to get other to join in with me to have a good time.

none yet very new to the site and the CouchSurfing experience, but looking forward to meeting new people!

Interests

most everything outdoors that does not involve snow! I really enjoy water sports and would love to learn to surf. I love dogs and had to leave my dog Max with my parents while I am traveling. I enjoy learning all I can about the history of places I visit from cultural to information on the landscape. I love to go to small quiet bars and talking to locals who are interested in shareing their experiences and thoughts on the area Im in.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love most music, my favorite is red dirt country, its not very well known but its bands like Reckless Kelly, Micky and the Motorcars, and Randy Rodgers Band. I don't take enough time to read, but some of my favorite books are "Into the Wild" "Mareley and Me" and pretty much anything by John Grisham. I don't really have a favorite movie but I do not like scary movies.
