About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Making and selling hoops is my current love, hoopers delight baby!
ABOUT ME
I'm a 28 year old vegetarian born and raised in Houston, Texas and have been trying to escape every chance I get, which isn't as much as I would like to have. The only thing that keeps me coming back is the fact that my whole family lives in Houston and I love my family so much that I keep coming back!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I finally do find a place to settle in I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to return the favor and open up my home for travellers, especially now because its a great time to travel with Occupying going on and travelling gets expensive and everyone needs a place to lay their head at night and a meal. Housing and nourishment are basic human necessities.
Interests
I was born with a green thumb! I've been gardening since I was a little girl! I had a garden in the back yard where I grew up and my grandparents have a ranch that they farm on every year.
I've always been a lover of fresh, healthy food (even though I am always on a mission for pizza).
I have a guitar and a ukulele and a recorder, none of which I have mastered yet and I'm starting to think that I just like the idea of music and collecting instruments! I am travelling with my guitar right now and can play a little tune if you ask but I cant promise it will be the best tune!
Ii love to bake and have been playing around with the idea of learning how to bake vegan goodies but I haven't had the chance yet. One day though!
I am a lover of YARN! I am also travelling with yarn and many crochet hooks.
Gardening, yarning, and baking are the things that put my mind at ease and relax me to my very core.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I stopped in Venice, CA and stayed with a couple of awesome people. One was a teacher who had a wonderful disposition. While waiting for him to come home from a previous engagement I walked down the street to the boardwalk and waited on a bench. It was a little late and very dark. I was pretty scared sitting all alone and a little more scared when a guy came up to me and stated to talk to me and then another guy on a bike followed. I tried my best to be friendly and not seem intimidated since I was very tired and in a new place. Things worked out great because we ended up chatting and we passed around my guitar that I had with me. We sat together until it was time for me to go. When I got to his place we chatted and the next day he introduced me to an amazing woman who made and sold hula hoops on the boardwalk. I stayed with her for a couple of days and helped her promote her hoops by playing with them to attract customers. I hadn't had a hoop in my hand since I was a little girl. Her place was amazing and she was such a wonderful host.
Since that trip I've carried that memory of those wonderful people and have taken up hooping. I plan on going back to Cali as much as I can and will most definitely be checking in on them.

I crochet, I'm no expert but I don't mind showing someone the few things that I know.
