About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Do good things and have fun doing them.
ABOUT ME
Oh, if I were doing nothing only out of laziness. Lord, how I’d respect myself then. Respect myself precisely because I’d at least be capable of having laziness in me; there would be in me at least one, as it were, positive quality, which I myself could be sure of. Question: who is he? Answer: a lazybones. Now, it would be most agreeable to hear that about myself. It means I’m positively defined; it means there’s something to say about me. “Lazybones!” – now, that is a title and a mission, it’s a career, sirs. No joking, it really is. By rights I’m then a member of the foremost club, and my sole occupation is ceaselessly respecting myself.

PHILOSOPHY
Ah, my Belov'ed fill the Cup that clears
To-day Past Regrets and Future Fears:
To-morrow!--Why, To-morrow I may be
Myself with Yesterday's Sev'n Thousand Years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosted at least a dozen couch surfers this year with my house mates -- all good experiences, several of whom I still keep in touch with.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only just registered here, but as noted above we have hosted a lot of couchsurfers this year, and I have always been willing to offer my own couch (or at least a floor) to anyone who needs it. I myself have probably slept on hundreds of people's couches in my time, though not yet through this site.
Interests
Well, I'm doing my master's degree in international development so I tend to be pretty interested in that (and related topics like politics and international relations). I also enjoy literature and films, a bit of cooking, computer games, Wikipedia, and other nerdly pursuits. But mainly drinking and going out with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like pretty much any music -- usually if everyone else is enjoying it, I will too. As for movies and books, I lean towards the more artsy/intellectual stuff I suppose.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living in a small village in Turkmenistan -- amazing in the best and worst possible ways.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always amazed how little people on this side of the Atlantic are turned on to the wonders of Mexican food, so I'd be happy to teach you how to cook Mexican (it's pretty easy) assuming the ingredients are available.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Norway, Sweden
Countries I’ve Lived In
Czech Republic, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, United Kingdom, United States
