HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I moved to Tokyo two months ago to work and am loving it! I intend to get involved with lots of the CS events whilst I'm here. I would be more than happy to show round/ get drunk/ visit a gallery with anyone visitng this wonderful city. Alas I can't offer a couch at the moment as I share with two others and space is limited as it is.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I a few people via the Manchester group and some surfers who visited Oslo and Kiev (not at the same time I hasten to add).

Zainteresowania

I love reading, meeting lots of new people, meeting with old friends, reading a bit more, going to art galleries and either a) wondering how the painted managed to create such detail or b) wondering how some of what passes for modern art passes for anyhting at all, a bit of photography and occasionally getting drunk.

Muzyka, filmy i książki

I like the same movies as most people I expect though I'm trying to see more international cinema. I'll read literally anything if its in front of me...or on a shelf close by. My favourite music is very heavily influenced by my parents and home...Manchester! Northern Soul, Indie, Rock, Funk...bit of everything really.

Through forcing myself out of my comfort zone I've met great people who have become very good friends.

Well as I'm an English teacher I really enjoy helping people with their English if they ask...though I would never give advice unless it's asked for!

I'll talk about anything and offer my humble opinion but I don't pretend to know everything, far from it in fact.

I know a lot about football so start me on a football conversation at your peril. In fact, the same goes for language and linguistics.

I'm an open book when it comes to learning from others as I'm literally all ears.

I like to get into conversations that go off on many tangents, just start talking and see where it leads.
