Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
building up a respectable caffeine tolerance.
ABOUT ME
Enthusiastic noisemaker, sporadic cyclist, lover of wide open spaces, envier of facial hair.
PHILOSOPHY
Hmm. I guess 'smash the imperialist white supremacist capitalist patriarchy' is a good place to start - but in the meantime, I'm not really sure. I guess it's quite a big thing to figure out. Working and thinking is probably the thing to do in the meantime, though.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I'm staying away in the US, so just surfing - when I get back home to Glasgow I'll be happy to host too!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
To be made...
Interests
Playing and listening to music, reading, hiking/cycling/scrambling about outdoors, history geekery, politics, chilling. Stargazing and sunset-watching are fab, and long-haul, late-night conversations are always welcome.

Music, Movies, and Books
Belle and Sebastian, St Vincent, Talking Heads, The Hold Steady, Alt-J. Laura Marling, The Silver Seas, tUnE yArDs, assorted folk and weird pop. Phosphorescent in the morning, Nick Drake in the evening, and old-timey, rootsy bluegrass when you're on the road.
The Secret History, The Grapes of Wrath, Persepolis, Miss Smilla's Feeling For Snow, Calvin and Hobbes, Lorrie Moore, and George Orwell all continue to be pretty life-changing, in one way or another.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was an extra on a film set for a day, which was ace, and made me consider running away to join them for a while.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to knit, and how to play a bit of music(Scottish folk songs and tunes, a handful o' guitar chords). I'd love to exchange songs, tunes or musical styles with anyone similarly inclined!
In return, good company and conversation is fab. Anyone who'd like to impart knowledge on cooking, local politics/history, or just share some thoughts, is more than welcome!
