I'm a very positive person, always cheery and always keen to meet new people and make new friends. I love good friends, good food, and good wine! I'm a bit of a transient person, never staying too long in one place and always planning my next adventure.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted only one couchsurfer since I joined up, but had a fabulous experience! I hope to be able to meet plenty of other like-minded souls whilst travelling around Europe in the second half of 2012.

Interests

I'm a recent university graduate, having studied winemaking. I now live in McLaren Vale, South Australia, working for a winery and loving it! I love spending time with my friends, seeing live music, and reading good books.

Music: The National, Rory Gallagher, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Al Green, Otis Redding, Roy Orbison, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, RHCP, Wild Beasts, Fleetwood Mac, Anna Calvi, Best Coast, Grizzly Bear, Bon Iver... I could go on forever! A pretty huge array from jazz and blues, old school pop and rock, current indie rock, all the way through to hardcore rock and metal, punk, ska, and everything in between!!

Books: A Long Walk to Freedom, To Kill a Mockingbird, Lady Chatterley's Lover, The Great Gatsby, Shantaram.

Movies: Almost Famous, Love Actually, Gran Torino, Lords of Dogtown and Dogtown and Z-boys, Dirty Dancing, Roman Holiday.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing snow for the first time when I flew into Frankfurt and then caught the overnight train to Prague where it was -20 degrees celsius!
Living in London and working as a riding instructor in Hyde Park, catching the tube at peak hour every evening from central london in the middle of winter smelling of horse and stables!!

I've studied winemaking and grape growing at university and worked most of my adult life in and around bars, so I suppose I'm fairly qualified in the consumption of alcohol...
