We are Mansi and Mwada! Since we gathered in Egypt in the middle of 2019, our passion for traveling and getting to know new people was putting into practice. At that time we got to know Couchsurfing and other apps and groups on social media. Several months later, Covid hit and we couldn’t travel till March 2020.

We traveled for 6 months in Uganda and Tanzania, while our priority was to have different volunteering opportunities in hospitality. Therefore, Workaway website was the best option for us. That’s why we have no history on Couchsurfing, yet we had Couch-surfed by a host in Cairo once!

After these 6 months, we went back to Egypt, stayed there for sometime, then Mansi came back to Tanzania and Mwada went back home to Belgium.

Now we are going to gather in Kenya in the middle of Jan 2022. Our priority now is getting to know more people everywhere we go in Kenya and all other countries we may visit afterwards.

In the following lines, we would like to give a brief background about us. We will be happy to provide an answer for any question you may have.

Mansi, a 33 years old man was born in Egypt and grew up in a small city in the Delta(the Northern part of Egypt). He has worked in Saudi Arabia for 5 years. During these years He visited some of the gulf countries and Europe. For Mansi, looking for the difference is just a hobby. Always he finds himself attracted to the different colors, names, religions, nationalities, and cultures. So, he was lucky at the beginning of these 5 years to know Mwada! Since then we have been discovering that our interests are very common and our vision towards life is almost the same!

Well, what motivates Mansi and brings him happiness are nature, knowing new people, helping others, cooking, working with my hands, reading, writing, and much more!

Mwada, a 24 years old woman was born in Iraq and grew up in her first decade next to the Euphrates River and her second decade next to the Schelde River in Belgium.
She has been loving traveling since she was very very young. She wanted always to see more than her surroundings.

She has lived the other part of her life in Belgium. She absorbed the middle Eastern and Western culture, yet she is eager to see more cultures.

In the past years, We have been sharing the same interests and somehow trying to understand our origins and our role in the world. We have lived for some time in Egypt and after that we began our travel journey in East Africa. We did workaways in Uganda for three months and in Tanzania for other three months. That helped us discovering the East African local life and we are happy to say that we now understand Africa!

Mansi is a good cook in the Egyptian cousin, so he teach you how to cook some delicious food!

Mwada loves languages, so she can teach you some Dutch & French. In addition to our native language Arabic!
