About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn, party and love (and work for the UNHCR too!)

ABOUT ME

I'm political sociologist currently working for the UN in war-affected municipalities in Colombia's south-western Amazon. Chilean and Colombian by nationality, grew up in five different countries, and for study and work reasons lived outside the Americas during the last ten years -mainly in Europe and the Middle East (England, Catalonia/Spain, Germany, Egypt OPT/Israel, Turkey and Mexico). Have been learning Arabic for over three years. Hence if you do speak Arabic and are in Colombia don't hesitate to contact me!!! Na3m ba7kee 3araby kteer mnee7!

Love Colombia, hate cold Bogotá though. Big fan of Cali and Barranquilla.

What else? I did use a CouchSurfing a lot during my time at uni when I was a poor student. Hosted many people in my flat but for work reasons I can't do it at the moment- travell a lot and spend very little time at home. What I really enjoy about CouchSurfing is the fact that you get to know locals in an unbeliveably quick (and deep) way!

If I contact you it doesn't necessarily mean that I'm looking for a place to sleep -coffees, drinks, party (a party animal, YES) would be great.

Always up to meet new people. London School of Economics and Universitat de Barcelona alumnus. 29, VERY open minded...

PHILOSOPHY

I'd like to see in myself the revolution that I'll never witness in this world. The Free Spirit Brotherhood (admirer)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Fantastic! CouchSurfing is one of those contemporary inventions that our generation should be grateful for. An alternative way for travelling, meeting people, discovering new places, what else can one ask for?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I reckon that this question goes around past anecdotes that had a great impact in my life, right? It's hard to list them, though: a terrible experience with the Gendamerie Royal du Marroc in the Western Sahara, an unforgettable climate camp in Scotland or a chat with a Coptic widow in Cairo. All of them important, non of them easy to forget.

Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Israel, Lebanon, Morocco, Netherlands, Panama, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Western Sahara

Countries I’ve Lived In
