About Me

Hello Everyone!!!

I was born and raised in Munich. Originally, I was working in the engineering field but I was never passionate about it. Eventually, I decided to do something about it and quit my job in 2009. Since then I have been traveling around NZ, South East Asia and India. I have done some studying in Hotel Management so I can work in interesting places around the world and have done some more studying in Accounting with a bit of Marketing to do new things in the future - opening my own business would be great(;

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At the moment I am in Vancouver as a work and traveler. I am working full-time at a hotel. Lately I have had the feeling that I am missing out on all the adventure and excitement. I felt I should see more of this beautiful country and the best way to get around and learn about new places is staying with great people, that's why I decided to give couch surfing a try.

Music, Movies, and Books

Listening to a lot of Motown Music lately (Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder......)

I like U2 a lot (the new album is great especially "Song to Someone")

My favorite books are "Kite Runner" and "Angela's Ashes"

My favorite movies are "American Beauty", "Leon" and "On the Waterfront"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had to kill people for a living(; - Seriously, as a medical engineer in cardiac rhythm management I had to test implantable cardioverters and defibrillators, part of it was to test if they work properly during surgery which involves causing an artificial arrhythmia that makes the heart stop beating!!! Well...dunno if it's so amazing tho(;

I have also climbed a mountain which is almost 4000 meters high and which is also a volcano!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am willing to share all that random wisdom that is in me!!! I am also not a bad cook.
