About Me

From USA, most recently lived in Costa Rica.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of my favorite parts of traveling is connecting with new people, whether fellow travelers or locals, and going outside the typical tourist attractions. I have done many homestay experiences outside of CS, and enjoy seeing new places from a local point of view. Tell me about your favorite restaurant, cafe, or shop!

Interests

Always like to try new activities, whether active or more relaxed, I will try it at least once. I like doing outdoor activities such as hiking/swimming/biking, city walks, visiting museums, reading books or painting in the park, and going to the cinema or concerts. Also love going out for food, drinks, or dessert.

Music, Movies, and Books

A travel-related book I enjoyed was Hippie by Paulo Coelho. Big fan of mystery novels.

Always looking for recommendations of international movies and TV shows, especially detective shows or romantic comedies.

I enjoy going to music festivals and concerts, whether African music, reggaeton, salsa, reggae, dancehall, hip-hop, r&b, rock, or EDM. Even classical music - I once spontaneously attended an organ concert in Prague where Mozart had played.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed the 5th highest mountain in Africa and got an amazing view of Mt Kilimanjaro above the clouds at sunrise. I also drove across the United States alone and camped in the desert in my car. I usually solo travel which leads to the wildest stories, in my opinion.

Teach, Learn, Share

Language exchange if you want to practice English or Spanish. I can also cook many types of global cuisines, as I like to recreate favorite dishes from my travels. If you want to learn salsa or bachata dancing, let’s find a place to go and I will practice with you!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I enjoy having conversations and sharing about our respective cultures. I would like to share a meal or drink and hear about your experiences hosting or traveling! Happy to cook for my host :)
