Music, Movies, and Books

Most stuff on Showtime is great! Daily Show/Colbert Report. Any Hitchcock movie, North by Northwest is great... I love old movies, anything with Carry Grant (Arsenic and Old Lace comes to mind). Any Antonioni, have you seen BlowUp! I might have studied film if i had been accepted to film school. John Woo made good movies before John Travolta went insane. 90's action movies.. The Rock, Face Off, True Lies. Abel Ferrara movies are all great, King of NY, and Bad Lieutenant in particular. If you haven't seen these two movies go watch then now and see the performances that started some of the big names in Hollywood. 16 year old Laurence Fishburne, living in his car at the time, as Jimmy Jump is so great. Of course Walken is magic as always. I also love documentaries, I hope your seen the governator in Pumping Iron, YES.. he was smoking a joint in the final scene

Zappa Lives! Cobain and Brad Nole are also alive with me for sure. Must also say as a Canadian i like The Hip, french prog. rock out of montreal, almost everything i heard at the Winnipeg Folk Festival. Australian stuff too.. cat empire. Crowded House. Dylan, Santana, Stevie Ray. Rancid, Dead Kennedys, Pennywise, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Black Flag, Buzzcocks, Floggin Molly, The Ramones, The Stranglers.. I could go on for while....

I like history books mostly (at the moment).. used to be way into SF. Clark, Heinlein, Le Guin, Asimov, Delany, Anderson, Bradbury, etc, I've read maybe 50 SF books. I also like science and biographies, Mostly WW2 stuff, and science histories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driving across Canada, camping all along the way, was pretty great. Makes Europe seem tiny!

If you need help building a house on the beach, or planting your first organic garden.. I can help you! I'm a pretty good cook, for a north American, but i could use some European refinement. I also fancy myself a bit of a photographer.. but I'm just starting out. I can also do graphic design, I'm a self proclaimed InDesign Wizard.
