ABOUT ME

I love adventures... challenging myself... new people and cultures... good and different food & wine... places... special friends... experiences... good conversation... learning... thinking... being... Most 'good things' really!

I'm an enthusiastic and generally happy person, and just LOVE the idea of Couch Surfing - "a global testament to humanity and good will":)

I like to keep myself busy doing and seeing as much as possible ('sucking the marrow out of life') and wish life could allow me to spend a (much bigger) chunk of time traveling to and living in new places. One day, hopefully!:)

PHILOSOPHY

To get as much out of life as possible, and one day hopefully to contribute in my little way to 'saving the world', and making it a better place for everyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I'm just formally joining Couch Surfing and don't really have a couch to offer, for the moment I will be participating as a 'meet up for a drink' capacity. And hopefully also as a surfer later this year - fingers crossed my boss will give me some leave!:)

And then next year potentially I will have a couch to offer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In 2010, a friend and I traveled Scotland and had the privilege and joy of Couch Surfing around the 'Highlands and the Islands'. An amazing holiday, and we were spoilt by wonderful hosts:)

Since then, I can't stop telling people how fabulous Couch Surfing is!

Music, Movies, and Books

At the moment (hopefully in preparation for a trip to South America) am reading South American authors - Isabel Allende (love her!), Gabriel Garcia Marquez etc...

Not so good with movies-sometimes the best thing about a movie is the comfy chair and the opportunity to have a nap - blush:) But, I do enjoy art movies very much.

Music tastes quite eclectic - anything from Bollywood to country!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in India for 3 months. Absolutely incredible, amazing and life-changing - everyone should do it!:)

* I lived in the US for 6 months and traveled tons - not many people know this, but the best state in the US is North Carolina - beautiful, diverse and so so interesting - go there!:)
