Hello there, I am pursuing PhD in United States. Whatever little time that I get, I like reading about behavioral finance, behavioral risk management and behavioral economics. I am currently also learning Indian classical music.
During my visit to all the western countries, I have come across really amazing solo travelers and hosts. It is through them that I have experienced their culture, religion, life style and food habits. I wish to offer the same to visitors who come to New York to experience this vibrant city.

Following are the reasons for which I have joined Couchsurfing:
1) Having two masters from top universities in India, I am here to leverage my knowledge to under-privileged children and women. If you're affiliated with an NGO, and on a tour for a social cause, then please get in touch in case you need a volunteer. I can teach Math, Computers, Science, English and Social Studies
2) I am here to meet travelers from different countries and across the globe and offer them the hospitality that this country is well known for.

Before reaching out, I would like you to please be mindful of a few pointers:
1) Couchsurfing is a site which is created to connect travelers who share similar interests. Please don't defeat the purpose of it by sending a request for pub-hopping, smoking (I would report your profile), date night or late night parties. I would request you to respect each other's time.
2) Please don't send request with a message to flatter that you will write a good feedback about me if I choose to host you. I don't work for Couchsurfing and reference wouldn't get me a bonus or salary hike either.
