About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel, adventure and grow!

ABOUT ME

I don't think this one single box is enough to say "all about [me]," but here we go. I'm pretty active, always looking for adventures and keeping myself busy. I love travelling (been to about 30 countries so far!), dancing, cooking/baking, learning languages, playing flute/piano, and socializing. I also scuba dive and ski. The latest addition is going to the gym/weight lifting/dragon boating. Oh, I'm an engineer and I am proud of my geeky side too, haha.

I just moved to Alberta for work after finishing my grad school in Ontario and after spending 11 weeks down in South America. I'm still in the process of settling down!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I finally have my own place so eventually I would want to host people, but given the fact that I just moved and my house is a mess, it might take a while to get that going. In the mean time, I plan on going to the CS events!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I joined couchsufring when I was on exchange in Europe. I used it twice to travel around and I really enjoyed the experiences. I have been to a number of couchsurfing meetings around the world (France, Cambodia, Thailand and Canada) and met lots of interesting people.

Aside from the official couchsurfing experiences, I have been involved in visiting friends all over the world and hosting them to show them around.

Interests

The list for this goes on and on, but my major interests are:
- anything related to food/cooking/baking
- dancing (esp. salsa and all the other latin dances!)
- cultures and languages
- travelling
- any kind of activities
- playing musical instruments (piano & flute)
- skiing & scuba diving
- music
- experiencing and discovering new things

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been to just over 30 countries in my entire life. Three major trips I have done so far are:
- 11 week South America trip in 2014
- 7 week (Southeast) Asia trip in 2013
- 3 week Euro trip in 2011/2012

And they were packed with amazing things! I don't even know where to start!
