About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Starting round the world adventures in May of 2019 through late 2020

ABOUT ME

Friendly, fun-loving gal. I love to meet new people and enjoy showing people interesting sites of my adopted hometown of Seattle. I love good food, good conversation and interesting experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to keep it simple: Live, Love, Travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted 2 people at this point and it has been a great experience. I look forward to doing so again in the future when I return from travel. I would love to be a guest when I travel!

Interests

I'm a nurse but I also love learning about different types of healing, especially traditional Chinese medicine and spiritual/folk healing. I'm also studying Reiki. I love to relax by doing yoga, taking steam baths, long walks in the woods. Live music, especially blues. Love food and cooking, trying different kinds of cuisine.

Music, Movies, and Books

Modest Mouse, Woody Gutherie, Wilco, Amy Winehouse, Townes Van Zandt, Johnny Cash, Ray Charles and Lilly Allen are basically what I have been listening to this summer. I'm open to all kinds of music, have recently discovered Hank Williams as well. Books, I like to read about spirituality and cultural beliefs, especially William Irwin Thompson. Also love biographies of interesting people, recent reads on Lee Miller and Anais Nin. Movies-anything. Love David Lynch, Wes Anderson, Werner Herzog, documentaries, comedy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once had to direct pedestrian traffic in Times Square, NYC. I worked for a film production company and somehow that impossible task fell to me! I still don't know how well I did, but it was quite the experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I studied art history and had some great teachers so I love to visit museums/galleries/installations. I love going with all kinds of people, from artists to people who rarely visit museums.
