Overview
About Me
I want to be free! Is there adventure between retirement and death? Yes! and I want to live it. I have worked as a teacher all my life which makes me, a learner, a doer, flexible, innovative, imaginative and curious. I have decided to leave Australia with my small dog Lolly to see the world. I have bought a fully self contained campervan in Amsterdam, a one way ticket to Europe and condensed my life into two suitcases and one box.
My husband died 26 years ago, my daughter is a fully functioning adult at 44 and my grandson just started secondary school. Missed I will be, needed on a day to day basis I'm not.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I will be travelling on my own, I expect that at times I will want to talk to some one other than the dog and it might be difficult to find places to camp. Therefore two reasons.
1. I would like to meet locals to share a meal, have a few laughs and find the essence of what makes us the same humans, regardless of our gender, religion, nationality, age or educational standards.
2. To maybe park in their garden, driveway or outside their house.

Music, Movies, and Books
Depends on my mood. HISTORY, crime, thrillers, documentaries, biographies.
All music gives something to the soul, even head banging stuff that I don't like.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
