ABOUT ME

Hello fellow travelers & adventurers! :) I live in Los Angeles and regret not moving around the country in my 20s, so now I'm making an effort to see more of the U.S. when I can take time off work. In 2011 I took a 33 day road trip visiting a dear girlfriend in Chicago, then renting a car and visiting Cleveland, Niagara Falls, Toronto, Montreal, beautiful Maine, amazing Outer Banks of North Carolina and all down the East Coast, visiting friends and family along the way, finding little motels, and couch surfing. I met the BEST coolest people couch surfing! (Ohio, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Connecticut, D.C., Virginia Beach, Savannah GA). It's amazing what awesome people you meet here, all with a shared special something :) It's truly like an enlightened community of people here, I love it :)

I'm fairly new to this site so I'm listing things that perhaps someone may want to know when opening up their home to a stranger (me) or meeting me in my town when visiting here. So.. a little about me ~ I'm social and enjoy people, I'm an extrovert :) I love animals, nature, and I appreciate nice people :) I'm honest, good hearted, and have integrity; I'm neat, clean, and considerate. When I travel, I like to get out, enjoy life and see the things significant or special in the area, checking out art, eateries, getting a local brewed beer or good coffee, being outdoors, bicycling.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy - have integrity, fun outlook, good attitude, appreciate others' kindness; be kind to animals, have empathy.. basically I just believe in being a good person, and being a happy person, making the best of things, and not waiting for life to happen, living life :)

I am interested in making contacts or friends here where I might stay while traveling, and I will have my place open to visitors in between my travel plans.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was introduced to this awesome site by a wonderful gentleman and his wife I met while on a road trip through Utah National Parks in May 2011. CouchSurfing.org rocks!

Interests while travel include a mix of checking out things that are unique to the area, both urban and city life (architecture, finding nice or quaint or cool local eateries, pubs, little music venues, art shows, good beer or sake tastings, cultural events) as well as outdoors and nature (fun near the water, bicycling). Having a mojito poolside or on a nice outdoor patio. Personal interests - eclectic art shows, woodworking (Mid Century Modern furniture).

Favorite movie.. The Cotton Club :) Because I love the era, 1920s New York City, I love the amazing music, great movie.

A new favorite movie, the Pixar film Up! So many great messages in this film :) The film Up! is what has inspired me to get out and travel more. This is the most motivating film ever, and a real tear jerker. I want to travel while I'm young and healthy enough to do so! :)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The most amazing place I've visited so far are the cenotes of Tulum, Mexico in the Caribbean. They are truly magical :) A great place to stay there is La Zebra with cool thatched roofed cabanas on the beach facing GORGEOUS aqua blue clear ocean water just 50 feet away! The scenery in Tulum beaches is so colorful, that you keep thinking like you're looking through saturated Photoshop lenses!!
