About Me
ABOUT ME
I love dancing, learning languages, and exploring other cultures. I work in my home state of Maine as a library director in a very small town. I'm excited about the new challenges, getting to know new people, and learning about the area. I'd love to make more friends who love languages and traveling.
PHILOSOPHY
Dance like you think you're amazing. Do not let fear keep you from doing the things you want to do. Be practical. Prepare for the worst and then stop worrying.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As a traveler, I can contribute good conversation, book suggestions, and some help with the chores. I have some house space for the right person/people, and I love sharing this beautiful area with visitors. I would be happy to meet up, swap languages, and look at the sights.
Interests
All kinds of dancing, especially blues, salsa, and fusion. Language learning. Art and architecture. Cooking and baking. Craft projects when I can find the time.

Music, Movies, and Books
Korean dramas! Bollywood. Firefly, Joss Whedon, Paul Gross, Fred Astaire...
Georgette Heyer, Connie Willis, Christopher Fry, house building books, chick lit.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've written 50,000 words for Nanowrimo (National Novel Writing Month), twice. I've studied at Oxford University and traveled in Spain and Italy by myself, which means something to me, even if lots of other people have done that too...
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll show you some partner dance basics if you like. Language practice, of course. How about some Kpop music?
