About Me

CURRENT MISSION

It's impossible to experience everything the world has to offer, but it's a shame not to try.

ABOUT ME

My mom took a trip to Paris when I was a very young girl, and I was devastated that I couldn't accompany her. For my eighth birthday, I asked for a set of French instruction cassette tapes, and my extreme case of wanderlust was born. I visited Europe for the first time when I was 17, and I loved every minute. Unfortunately, financial limitations and the stress of every day has beaten me down a bit, and I have only returned to France one other time in the past ten years. I love to read, and I consider myself a very open-minded, spontaneous person. I have a very passionate view of life; I love to savor all the flavors of the world. Living in Chicago, one of the greatest food cities in America, I get to explore my interest in the culinary world, and I have discovered some great things. I've come to a point in my life where I'm hungry for more, and I'd like to make traveling a way of life.

PHILOSOPHY

I feel that life is a great adventure. I will not let the choices other people make dictate the way I live my life. People are all so vastly different, and it is of great importance to celebrate those differences. Kindness goes a long way in this life, and that is a principle by which I live. Something I feel lately is that there is something just under the surface of everything, and I want to try and get closer to it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Like many things, the only experience I have with Couchsurfing is what I've read about it in my detailed research. I can't wait to make some memories of my own!

Interests

I love food and wine. I love film and stories of any kind. I love being silly and spending time with my friends. I also love spending time alone and being me.
