Overview
About Me
I’m Suhana, a solo traveller who’s lived and wandered through 18+ Indian states and now exploring Europe, one story at a time.
I’m happiest when I’m meeting new people, learning about their culture, and sharing a laugh over food.
From the Ellora Caves in Maharashtra to the streets of Antwerp, every journey has given me more than just memories, it’s taught me resilience, openness, and how beautiful it is to connect with strangers who feel like friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’ve known about Couchsurfing for almost four years, but I never really tried to use it. Life kept me busy with so much happening all the time.
Now, as I’m planning my solo trip across Europe, I feel this is the perfect time to finally be here.
Travel has taught me that the best experiences come from people, not guidebooks, and I believe this platform is where I can find genuine guidance, real friendships, and trustworthy connections, more than anywhere else.
I’m here to meet locals, exchange perspectives, and create stories worth sharing for years to come.
Interests
I’m drawn to cultures, history, and places with a soul. I love taking photos not of myself but of moments that capture a feeling.
I enjoy walking around new cities without a map, trying local food, exploring heritage sites, and finding hidden gems.
I sketch ✏️, a classical dancer💃, a state level shooter also play basketball🏀 when I get the chance, and I’m a Google Local Guide because I love leaving little pieces of my travels behind for others to find.

Music, Movies, and Books
🎶 Music: I listen to anything I can dance to or catch the rhythm of Bollywood, K-pop, jazz, pop, and even American classics. If it makes me move, it’s on my playlist. 😄
📚 Books: Tbh, I’m not a bookworm, but I love short stories and travel tales.
🎬 Movies: Feel-good films, travel documentaries
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the amazing things done:
One of the most unforgettable experiences of my life was joining Jagriti Yatra - a 15-day, 8,000 km train journey across India with 400 strangers from all walks of life.
We met inspiring entrepreneurs in remote corners, sang songs on moving trains, and watched the Indian landscape shift from deserts to mountains. It was like living in a moving community full of stories and laughter.
One of the amazing things seen:
I'd say, experiencing bioluminescence during midnight kayaking 🚣♀️ on the calm waters of the Shambhavi River in India. For an entire week, it became a routine- rowing our kayaks after midnight into the pitch-dark silence, only to see the water light up with every stroke.
It felt unreal, like nature was quietly showing off her magic. Honestly, I still can’t get enough of it!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to make proper Indian chai(tea ☕️) or any other Indian food (friends say I cook well😁), I can share real travel stories both magical and messy, haha! maybe talk till you ask me to stop. (I am a good listener, too💁🏻♀️)
I’d love to learn your local recipes, a few words in your language, and maybe a skill unique to where you’re from. I believe sharing is what makes travel meaningful for me, whether it’s a meal, a song, or an experience.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer good company, interesting conversations, and a genuine curiosity to learn about your culture and way of life.
I love cooking, so I can make you proper Indian chai or a simple home-style Indian meal.
I can teach you some Hindi, haha!😆, share travel stories from exploring 18+ Indian states, help plan trips, or give you tips for visiting India someday.
As I’ll be travelling from Antwerp, Belgium, I’ll be carrying some authentic Belgian chocolates🍫 you won’t find anywhere else in Europe.
And if you’re a postcard collector🖼, I can definitely bring a few along!
If there’s anything in particular you’d like me to bring or offer, I’m all ears 😃!! I’d love to make your hosting experience even more special.
🤞I’m tidy, respectful of space, and I believe in leaving a place better than I found it. And of course, I’ll bring plenty of laughter, warmth, and maybe a little playlist we can dance to.
