Hello, my name is Sumac (they/them)! I have travelled and lived in various places, mostly around Ontario and the Eastern US. While a lot of my big trips have been on bicycle, I also enjoy travelling by bus, train, and more recently, hitchhiking. I have been living in Montreal and working as a bike mechanic for the last two seasons, but am looking forward to doing some travelling this winter on the East coast of Canada. For now, I can host travelers in my apartment and look forward to having the favour returned to me in a few months!

I have had countless positive experiences on hosting platforms during my travels. Hosts have warmly welcomed me into their space and community, shared stories, meals, and experiences. As a host, I have also enjoyed giving that back to fellow travelers. Its been such a great way to meet people, learn about places, and get inspired.
