ABOUT ME

I just turned 29 this year, born and raised in Summerland B.C. which is a small town in the interior of B.C in the Okanagan Valley.

Growing up in Summerland was great but after high school I really wanted to travel and went to Costa Rica to teach English.

I moved to Vancouver a few years after I came back to the Okanagan and loved it! It's a very cultured city and there's always so many different scenes to check out. The Olympics was pretty crazy but I survived, Go Canada!

My sister and I have now been in Australia for 7 1/2 months, we started in Sydney and have been all the way up the east coast to Cairns. We are currently living in St. Kilda and loving it, can't wait for summer and enjoy all the awesome things Melbourne has to offer.

Other stuff about me: I'm pretty laid back and easy going, This is my first overseas trip but I've got the travel bug now and I plan on going to South East Asia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa and South America. I might just become a vagabond for life!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Spent a week CS in Byron Bay and a week in Brisbane. So far we've met some really great people along the way.

Interests

I absolutely LOVE the beach! BBQ's, beach parties, live music, anything that creates a good vibe and atmosphere.

Hiking, fishing, snorkling and other outdoor activities. I tried out surfing and scuba diving for the first time recently, it was awesome and I can't wait to try it again.

Music, Movies, and Books

A variety of music, I grew up listening to Classic Rock. Some of my favourite artists/bands are Bob Marley, Led Zepplin,Fleetwood Mac, CCR, Jimmi Hendrix, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kings of Leon, John Butler Trio, Ben Harper, Xavier Rudd too many to list. Also going to concerts and seeing live music.

I usually like comedies for movies but also enjoy action and suspense thrillers every now and then.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

South America is amazing, the rain forrests, volcano's water falls and beaches are so beautiful.

So far my favourite parts of Australia have been the Whitsundays, Fraser Island, The Barrier Reef, Byron Bay was awesome too. Plus loving Melbourne already!
