The ENTIRETY of Europe through my retinas--or as much of it as I can possibly see in my remaining two weeks here.

ABOUT ME

I am a shy but adventurous person all at once. I've driven across the U.S. and back three times! Once, I drove 22 hours alone and only stopped for gas.

I grew up in a multiethnic family, which taught me that learning about people from all around the world is as important as any part of standard education.

I read at least one entire book every time I fly.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that exerting oneself is the forgotten drug. I try to look at everything as an opportunity, especially when things don't shape up the way I expect them to.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I teach a class for adults at a language center in the heart of urban Memphis, where we help to integrate refugees from 20+ countries. I also privately tutor a few Hispanoblantes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is my first time! I'm staying with a host here in Bremen. She's one of the most amazing people I've had the good fortune to meet.

Intereses

English as a foreign language, linguistics, any literature that inspires an emotional reaction, intercultural exchange, and walking with no particular destination.

I also have a large dog and I walk with him all over. And even after a collision, I still bike everywhere. I bake at least a dozen cookies or a loaf of bread a week. I love listening to people talk about their professional careers--it's so great to be able to learn so much from others' experiences!

My music library grows every day. I'd love to hear some of yours :) Oh. I make a mean latte, but I drink my coffee black.
