To figure out how I can travel and explore more than just the two weeks of vacation I currently get.

ABOUT ME

I'm currently a wildlife biologist who gets paid to hike for a few months a year, but I've been getting an itch to do more than that. Would love to be able to travel more and for longer stretches than a few weeks.

Live and let live...I'm extremely open minded and enjoy people's views as long as they're open minded as well.

Haven't participated in any couch surfing activities….yet.

None so far, but hope to change that soon.

Interessen

Snowboarding, hiking, reading, travel, having fun experiences, meeting fun people, staying fit, evolutionary psychology, personal finance (i.e. figuring out how to "retire" as soon as possible), learning how to play the guitar, painting, and other stuff i can't think of right now..

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Movies: I love most comedies, action moves, big scifi blockbusters, thrillers/horror movies, generally anything entertaining. Some favorite moves are Office Space, Wedding Crashers, Ace Ventura, Dumb and Dumber, 40 year old virgin, the old Star Wars trilogy, Lord of the Rings (geek alert), and one of the few dramas and probably my number 2 film, Fight Club.

Music: Love all things Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennet, Dean Martin, etc. Also like 80's music, 80's hair metal, old school hip-hop/rap, motown, and various electronic/house music, as long as its hard (UK hard house ftw)!!

Books: Most of the stuff i read ends up being person development stuff or pop science books dealing with why we do what we do, pretty interesting actually.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Hmmm…haven't done anything I think is super amazing, but I did recently go to Canyon de Chelly in NE Arizona which was pretty amazing and I also enjoyed ditching work for a month to snowboard in Colorado a few years ago.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Although not a professional, I have learned a lot about investing for retirement, etc and love talking about that kind of stuff. I would love to learn new languages, at least enough to converse. I'm more than happy to share whatever I have with people who deserve it.
