ABOUT ME

Hello, CSers! My name is Terry.I am sociable and always keen to meet and hang out with new people. Exchanging different cultural aspects, backgrounds and life stories and taking photos with every single new person I have met during my travel through other countries have become important part of my life. It always makes -and will always make- me face something new and exciting. I hope to make another unforgettable memory with new awesome people, you guys out there!, and learn valuable life lessons from them.

PHILOSOPHY

I have kept 'experience and staying positive' as my personal philosophy for many years. Those words have been the driving force behind my challenging and exciting life style and always pushed me into new adventures. This life motto of mine has led me to an impossible challenge that is to meet every single human being over the world in an attempt to gain new perspectives toward life. Of course, I know this one, which is in my bucket list, can hardly ever come true but I would love to give it a try at least.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

One day back in Korea, a friend of mine told me about his Couch Surfing experience. He said that Couch Surfing is the gateway to experiencing not only those well-known tourist spots in travel books but also actual life style and culture of local people. I thought I would be able to relate to people in the world through my CS experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have experienced Couch Surfing a couple of times in Brisbane, Cairns, and Townsville respectively. Especially, the one with Australian, British, New Zealander guys sharing a flat together made another cherishable memory of my life. This has enlightened me that everyone in the world can be friends no matter what and how westerners in their 20's live and enjoy their freedom. Furthermore, my short stay with them has eventually led me to travelling through Europe and meeting up with them in Netherlands soon!

Interests

I like pretty much all kinds of sports, especially soccer and basketball. Also, I am very interested in dancing. More specifically, I can dance 'Gangnam Style' from the start to the end. With the help of the singer PSY, I could master every dance move in the music. Learning the choreography of the song from the original singer was such an epic event in my entire life. I will get to that story when meeting you guys in person! If anyone is keen to learn the dance move, feel free to hit me up! I will definitely make you dance like an expert! Apart from sports and dancing, I like listening to life stories of people, culture, history, and food of other countries. Speaking of food, I will cook delicious Korean food for you! I can guarantee the taste from my 5 years of cooking experience for my friends!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went scuba diving and skydiving a few weeks earlier. They showed me a whole new world! Ever since then, I have recommended those two super exciting and awesome activities to my friends by posting a number of photos of me playing with sea creatures and flying in the sky.
