About Me

Hey all! I am a young, enthusiastic college student who recently got inspired to travel the world to learn and share culture. If I had only one word to describe myself, it would be "resilient". I always seek to look on the bright side no matter what difficulties I face. My 21 month-long service in the ROK (Republic of Korea) Army gave me time to reflect on my not so short 20 years of life and I came up with the conclusion that it is about time to bring a radical change to my lifestyle and begin to boldly to things which I have never thought of doing before.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

“The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences.”

In that, I believe Couchsurfers enjoy the benefit of living in other people’s lives both as hosts and surfers. I am willing to share my life with you and learn from whatever differences we’ve got. It is from the people I meet where I stumble upon unexpected inspirations and enlightenment. They are the ones who truly make my traveling so great, and Couchsurfing has got it all.

Interests

I like to both play and watch soccer and I also enjoy playing Fifa. Pretty much anything related to soccer excites me. Besides that, my interests include:

Stock Trading, Nature & Essentialism, Traveling, Cooking, Art & Photography, Maker Movement

Music, Movies, and Books

Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer. Alex Supertramp, or Chris McCandless, abandons society in a spiritual pilgrimage to Alaska, only to find wilderness much fiercer than he first imagined. Although, he meets his tragic end in his youth, his perspective of the modern world, against inequalities, wealth, fame, greed, and capitalism has had an immense influence on my take on society.

Tuxedo Park by Jennet Conant. A biography of Alfred Loomis who altered the course of WWII with the technologies developed at a lab he built in Tuxedo Park with the money he amassed from Wall Street. As I am eager to pursue both of my interests in business and science, his successful life gives me great inspiration.

Finding Nemo. The only movie that I'll ever have watched four times consecutively. Finding Nemo depicts the everlasting bond of love between father and son at its best.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not so amazing but rather frightening, throwing grenades during training in the army was a new experience to me.

Countries I’ve Visited
