I know Couchsurfing is a special opportunity for increased cultural exchanges. I am a traveler and “knowmad”, but I most remember enjoy those experiences in which I made new friends or had the honor of staying within someone's home; it provides real more insight into a place/country.

Music, Movies, and Books

I grew up going to Prince's clubs and concerts in Minneapolis, among others - so the "Minneapolis Sound" is my heart and soul (R&B, soul, jazz, funk, pop). I really grew up in Chicago as house music was emerging from the underground. To this I would add Afro-beat, Motown sound, old school hip hop, disco, 80's pop, etc.

I love reading - especially books that are so engrossing that they make me want more.

For movies I prefer comedies, indy and foreign films.
