believe that the more you are willing to share your own belongings with other people, the smaller the risk is that you are likely to be stolen. If you trust your guests a 100 percent from the beginning, then they will usually be grateful and not take advantage of it. And so far I have never had an unpleasant surprise with any of my guests.. After having hosted many travellers I must admit that I prefer to host those of you who have not been on the road for ages. Most people who have travelled too much slowly become quite introvert and somehow lazy. They care less about the places and people they visit and therefore it is usually not as rewarding to host a drifter as it is to host those who have just started their journey. What I am trying to say is: Travel is good for people, but only to a certain limit. You should not necessarily have a specific purpose with your travels, but keep in mind what you want to get out of it in the end before you end up as yet another empty and confused soul. The moment that you are no longer curious about your surroundings and open to the people you meet, should also be the moment that you stop travelling. And no one should ever buy a flight ticket simply because the ticket is cheap. We should always ask ourselves if the journey is really necessary. And the biggest experiences in life are usually when you visit the countries that you knew absolutely nothing about in advance. And those are of course the most expensive destinations to go to, but usually also the most rewarding ones on a personal level, I believe. So try to ask yourself which countries in the world that you know the least about and then you should visit those nations and move in with the locals and learn from their cultures and teach them about your own. This is what life is about. At least to me. But there are of course different strokes for different folks and only an incredibly low level of members in this community who are actually willing to share their own country. I encourage you all to do so from now on and the world will be better. It is also kinda problematic that most travellers are contacting the same few hosts who are on top of the search results instead of scrolling down and choosing some newer members with less references. They can certainly be just as interesting and amazing hosts as the others of us who are more experienced and who receive way too many requests each day
