California grown and currently based in Fresno in the central part of the state about an hour outside of Yosemite National Park. Prior to moving back to CA, I lived in Boston for several years, where I completed my MBA at Brandeis University. For a few years after college, I lived and worked as an English/business teacher in China. It was a life-changing experience. I frequently travel throughout California for work and around the country and world for fun. I try to do at least one international trip a year.

I work in philanthropy (NGO work) and love what I do. I get to wake up every day and help people. My career is a huge part of who I am and I am proud of all that I've accomplished professionally. I stay pretty busy with work, but also make time for hobbies/interests and spending time with family and friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Back on CS after several years. I've met so many interesting, incredible people through this community. I love hearing their stories, perspectives, dreams, and what life is like where they're from. Spending time with people from all over broadens my worldview and makes me a better person. I'm a firm believer that experiencing a place from a local's view is the best way to travel.

I've surfed and/or met up with CSers all over Asia, Europe, and North America. I've also hosted quite a bit in China, Oregon, and in Boston. Even if I can't host, I'm always up for meeting new people, swapping stories, and showing them around.

Interests

My interests include: running, photography, swimming, reading, exploring new places, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
