Hi,

I am Sunrose, a graduate student at Tufts University, currently pursuing a degree in Mathematics. I am from Nepal, and I have been living in the United States as a student for the past 8 years. All of my family is still back in Nepal, and I make it home almost every year.

One of the things I miss a lot about Nepal, is the food. I am a big foodie, and I love to cook and love to eat out. I try to recreate Nepali dishes in my apartment in the US as much as I can, and I love to host dinner parties and share my cooking.

I love Math (obviously). But other than that I also like to meditate. I practice Vipassana Meditation, as taught by S.N. Goenka. If you want to know more about it, I am always happy to talk about it :D

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I think it is wonderful to meet people with varied backgrounds, who are also open minded about meeting others. Couchsurfing lets you do that. Plus, I love to travel and traveling as a graduate student is always hard, budget wise. So I try to travel under a budget.

I love Bon Iver, Novo Amor, Yann Tiersen, ODESZA, Seafret, Ry X etc.

I really like Studio Ghibli movies like the Red Turtle, My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, etc.

I am also into horror movies like the Babadook, and of course, into low budget indie movies like Adventureland (it is really one of my go to favorites).
