ABOUT ME

I'm very adventurous and somewhat independent. I love to travel, read, meet new people, and write. I have a big family, and love discovering new things to do with them and on my own. I live in a very quiet corner of Vermont - close to Lake Champlain, Burlington, and very near a ferry to upstate New York. I'm a bit torn between my simultaneous love for quiet and need for excitement. I've been in Vermont a few years, but am still discovering the great, new things around me.

none yet on this site, but may couches, many residents on my own... Folks are fun.

Interests

When I'm not working, I read, entertain my family, and travel. We've had a few different foreigners live with us over the past few years, and I enjoy getting to know new people and cultures. I love to cook and feed people, and try new foods.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music? Jam bands, jazz, old country tunes, even some cheesy pop... my tastes change according to my mood.

Books? All books - except shitty ones.

Movies? same as books - depends how I feel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the clouds rest like an ocean amid the San Antonio Mountains (CA). The edges were blown against the rocks, and curling, like waves. As we looked down, it appeared as an ocean. So silent and beautiful, with millions of people living below.

Learning to surf with my kid in Ecuador.

Eating dinner in a refuge camp in Hong Kong.

Many many random people that have made huge impressions in my life - too many to list.
