Completing a dissertation and finding a way to include travel as part of it.

ABOUT ME

They would probably say: ...that I love to study, travel, and explore. I take "working" vacations. I am quiet and introverted, but certainly am not shy. I am sometimes a bit too serious, but I am very creative, and have a wry sense of humor. I enjoy people, am very curious and have friends and acquaintances from all walks of life.

PHILOSOPHY

The only constant is change; use time on earth to make a difference, remember one's ancestors, respect Mother Earth. Be true to self.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am serious, quiet and enjoy my own company; I usually read 4 or 5 books at a time. Conversely I know no strangers, enjoy hearing everyone's story, and enjoy recreating high fashion on a budget. I use art as a tool for creative change, and I love the calm that comes from creativity and design. I have beautiful daughters and a grandson, and enjoy spending time with them when I can. I am passionate about travel and exploring!

Being part of the opening act (I am a percussionist of African instruments)of Habib Koite from Mali; Meeting members of the James Brown band, and being part of their musician's master class; traveling through the Middle East; My daughters' artistry.

I am a multidisciplinary artist: I have studied and played the instruments of the Jembe orchestra for 16 years. I am a textile artist specializing in surface design. Nearly 30 years experience as a licensed therapist. I am a researcher in women's mental health, . Finally, I am the manager and founder of a women's organization with leadership coaching skills.
