ABOUT ME

ok, well, here goes.
Born and raised in South Africa, in a small town near Johannesburg.
After high school, spent 10 years living in the so-called Crime Capital, waitering, playing in a band, learning to drink and all other sorts of recreational activities, and somehow, obtain a law degree on the side.
After some years, I quit the firm to head for asia, and have hardly looked back.

Now I've been an English teacher for a few years, in Thailand (twice) and South Korea, and couldn't be happier with life.

Everyone has the right to be who they want to be, as long as they dont infringe on the rights of others to be who they wanna be.

My girlfriend and I have hosted, and surfed with other hosts.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm still pretty new to couchsurfing, but I've only heard positive things about it, and in my little experience, all the positive things I've heard seem to be true.

It's alot of fun, and I WANNA PLAY TOO!!

Interests

MUSIC
I'm a keen guitarist, and have been playing for about 14 years now. Been playing flamenco guitar now for about 3 years.
I love all sorts of music.

# EVERYTHING ELSE
I like history, debating philosophy, politics, law, and anything else that comes up.
Chess, computer games, photography, watching rugby... and sitting at my computer trying to list things that I enjoy - that's a particularly great one.

Did I mention that I like beer? Well, I guess I should. I like beer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Deciding to travel is probably one of the most amazing things I've done, but to be a little more specific:
Visiting the Grand Canyon, jumping out of a moving plane, going around the world, spending a night chatting to a 'witchdoctor' in northern Thailand. Easier to talk about in person than list on a website.

Falling through a roof once left me dumbstruck. Does that count?
