ABOUT ME

I'm a person of constant change (really, who isn't? but I feel I'm more connected with my changes) and I enjoy letting go when I can or indulging in the simple things like breathing fresh air or having the wind blow my hair or walking in the rain. The people in my life are very important to me, most of the time more important than myself....can't help myself :)
My big goal this lifetime is to be able to afford a small island (not tropical) and live self sufficiently there.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life because I believe there has to be more beauty than bad out there....Life is about continual growth and discovery. I also believe in pushing myself further, one step at a time

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't know if these count but in Australia I stayed with these cool locals in a very small town who took my sister and I in after our damn Kombi van took it's last breathe- they fed us and took us on a tour of the local must sees. It was awesome!
Also got to couchsurf in San Fran which was a 50% success rate...the airports not such a bad alternative

Interests

Interested in doing new things, but old habits seem to be reading, dancing, journal writing, photography, going crazy (don't mind if I do!! WLAHAHA), eating (oh food, how I love thee!!), listening to music (i'll try anything), chilling with my peeps, being outside (I'm a nature freak), sports....I do have my preferences......, scrapboooking, crocheting, swimming in lakes, and spreading happiness to all good folk!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to mention, but I'll limit myself....music: The Arcade Fire, Muse, Big Wreck, Incubus, Live, Gomez, The living End, The Mars Volta, Yellowcard, The be good Tanyas, The Flaming lips, Jeff Buckley, Jimmy Eat world, Moloko, The Painting Daisey's, and Powderfinger....yeah, really limited myself there! Books: Big fantasy reader but trying to expand that, really love Sevenwaters trilogy by Juliette Marillier, Guy Gavriel Kay, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Paulo Choelo, David Eddings. Movies: classics being The princess bride, Willow, Charlie and the chocolate factory, Return to Oz, Disney movies, A league of their own, and newer ones aren't really favorites just ones I've appreciated for being so good- Crash, Garden State, Memento, Eternal sunshine of a spotless mind, Crouching tiger hidden dragon, Romeo and Julliete, stuff that makes me think or go "Wow" or really scary movies!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most amazing thing I've seen in my life is just the natural scenery all over this world, favorite being Freycinet National Park in Tasmania.
I also had a chance to walk on the Arctic ocean- I would have swam in it if it weren't frozen :) but that felt pretty amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm absolutely terrible with languages, something that makes me shy up, but I would love to be able to speak more of them.
I'm always capable of sharing a laugh with someone...at the very least!
Teach, well I'm sure there's something I could teach...I invite you all to find out what it is! Kind of like a Kinder surprise.
