About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Create something every day

ABOUT ME

I'm a web developer working for a company in San Francisco. However since I can work remotely I decided to travel the world while I work. Last year took me through Spain and Portugal, Morocco, France, Germany, the UK, and Iceland. This year I've been to Argentina, Chile, Spain, Ireland, and Sweden.

I take photos, listen to music, spend way too much time on my computer, then remember to kick my ass out of the house and see the amazing places I'm visiting.

PHILOSOPHY

Travel reminds me that people are what makes life worth living. I've seen beautiful, beautiful places, but sharing journeys with good friends makes those experiences infinitely better.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While traveling I love to meet up with people from the cities I visit, even for a drink or food.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used couchsurfing in Japan and South Korea. Some of the best times I had were literally sleeping on a floor with a scrap of a blanket, but having hosts that went out of their way to show us unique and hidden gems.

Interests

My life seems to occupy two spheres, on the computer and not. On the computer I'm either working on web dev, listening to new music, processing photos I've taken, or chatting with my friends from all over.

Not on the computer I'm out trying to see new places, eat good food, and take good photos. Aside from that I try and rock climb a few times a week, usually bouldering. It's been difficult to keep up my routine while traveling but I find places here and there to climb. Oh! And biking! Nothing feels quite like biking around a city, especially at night when everything has calmed down.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed the entirety of mount Fuji in Japan. Most people start half way up the mountain but my friends were the good kind of crazy and convinced me to join them from the bottom up. We hiked through lush forests before hitting the midway point of barren rock and sand. After 13 hours of climbing we reached the cold and windy summit. We watched the moon and stars exit the sky as the sun rose. And then made the long descent down. I couldn't walk upright for a month but it was so so worth it.
