About Me

CURRENT MISSION

live and learn :)

ABOUT ME

Home is in California, and before university I'd only ever left the U.S. to visit family in Taiwan. Decided to do my undergraduate in Abu Dhabi, though, and the resulting four years were pretty incredible. I spent my junior year in Buenos Aires and Berlin, and returned to Abu Dhabi last year to finish up. I'm back in California now, still completing my senior thesis and trying to figure out what's next for me!

PHILOSOPHY

how about some quotes I like?

"It's creepy, but here we are, the Pilgrims, the crackpots of our time, trying to establish our own alternate reality. To build a world out of rocks and chaos. What it's going to be, I don't know. Even after all that rushing around, where we've ended up is the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night. And maybe knowing isn't the point. Where we're standing right now, in the ruins in the dark, what we build could be anything."
- from "Choke" by Chuck Palahniuk

"Having eyes, but not seeing beauty; having ears, but not hearing music; having minds, but not perceiving truth; having hearts that are never moved and therefore never set on fire. These are the things to fear."
- from "Totto-Chan: The Little Girl at the Window" by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi

"I wish we could have sat across a table and talked about nothing for hours, I wish we could have wasted time, I want an infinitely blank book and the rest of time."
- from "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" by Jonathan Safran Foer
