ABOUT ME

Hi! my name is Jerome, you can call me Je or Tikoy which ever you prefer. Just to share a bit of me, on a regular basis I'm a Financial Analyst who loves travelling and took photography as a stress reliever.

The Travel Bug
It bit me when I was about 4-5 years old. I know back then that I love to travel, to see places. It started when I got my first bike. Every morning I was the one who always buys "pandesal" in the morning, before going back home from the bakery I tried different routes just to see the different sides of our village. For me it was exciting and already an adventure in itself.
I became a serious traveler back in 2008. After the trip to Cebu-Bohol, I didn't stop exploring the country. As of the moment the northernmost part of the country that I set foot on was the province of Batanes and Davao down south.
My unforgettable travel was my 2008 Backpacking Mindanao: 10K Challenge that I did with 9 other travelers or as we call ourselves "Kaladkarin". It was 9 days backpacking from Zamboanga to Davao with 10K cash each.
Now I'm dreaming of visiting Southeast Asia. As of the present I've been to Singapore and Malaysia: Kota Kinabalu, Melacca & Kuala Lumpur. This year until early next year, I'm bound to visit Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia and Myanmar.

My Photography
I always have my Nikon D40 every time I travel. I got it back in June 2008 just in time for my Dumaguete-Siquijor trip, from then on we never separated. I didn't took any formal lesson just reading articles from the net, browsing travel magazines for inspiration and asking questions to photographer friends.

Blogging
I'm a late bloomer when it comes to blogging. For 2 years I tried blogging and never really committed to update it or create an entry. I just got hooked up with it late last year, so you may encounter some entries way back 2008 from time to time.
