ABOUT ME

I am never good at this...I currently and undergraduate at the University of Washington. i originally went in to go learn how to be a doctor but after a 2 quarters of essentially failing chemistry (which I believed myself to be decent at) I panicked and applied to study abroad in Cadiz, Spain. That experience changed my outlook on life. Right now, my focus is learning about as many different cultures as possible, I think one way for me to better understand myself is to understand more about all the people in the world. My shy level usually depends on who I'm with, I'm generally outgoing with outgoing people and shy with shy people.

PHILOSOPHY

Hmmm, pretty much the basis of all my beliefs is to be as nice as person as possible and to do the best with what you've been given. I enjoy talking religion even though (or maybe because) I'm not really set in any definitive christian denomination.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to the concept of couch-surfing...if someone had asked me what I thought about couch-surfing a year ago I think my reply would have included something along the lines of me being murdered in my sleep. I am learning, so be patient with me! I have read a few profiles and my opinion has completely changed, there are a lot of honest and interesting people out here wanting to share their life experiences with other people.

I have never before couch-surfed.... I've only ever stayed in hostels and hotels so I'm excited to learn more!

Interests

I am interested in other langages and cultures, I often listen to foreign music and watch foreign films. I'm also a big fan of reading :D.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music wise I'm into more indie stuff...bands like Mumford and Sons, Beirut, Greg Laswell, Sakanaction, etc. I'm good for almost any movie...except cheesy love comedies (though some are alright...it's the cheesy part that gets me), pointless-action movies, slashers, yeah, stuff like that. I'm also good for more different kinds of genres of books...fiction, fantasy, biographies (of people I'm interested in, of course), historical accounts, I'm also finding myself drawn to Japanese literature now.

I don't have many skills that I can share/teach with anyone though if I ever get to a point to where I can host people then I can teach them about the cultures of Seattle that I am not starting to learn and appreciate.
