This is what I wrote for my facebook's about me section a little while ago and feel represents me well -

"Hello! My name is Surbhi and I am uber cool (Yes I am. Three millionaires follow me on instagram.)

Fun facts about me –
- I stand tall at 4'8".
- I do not have a last name!
- I was invited to the UN once upon a time.

You will find me walking the streets annotating life, and be parts of efforts to contain the spread of misinformation as much as possible. My aim is to spread knowledge and eradicate ignorance from the face of this planet."

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am an international student from India, living on a typical college student's budget. I want to explore the United States as much as possible in the four years that I am here. That is a little bit difficult if all most of my paycheck go towards paying my tuition. Couchsurfing is a wonderful way to travel economically and interact with people from different cultures, big reason why I am 7000 miles away from home in the first place.

I hope to get to know expand my circle and get to know my hosts well, and hope to stay in touch long after I leave.
Having someone open to showing me around is always a plus :)

兴趣

- I really love gathering information. Whether it be from books, newspapers, or other people, I love exploring what is out there.
- I am BIG on critiquing and having political discussions. I am not as well versed with the American politics as I would like to be, but start me on a conversation about world issues and I can talk for hours. (Inform me about the nuances of American politics and I will be forever indebted to you.)
- I am a talker. I am very social as a person, and have been told I am hilarious (not very often, but I have).
- I love watching movies and TV shows and can love practically anything.

I have a wide range of interests when it comes to movies. Some movies I watched in 2016 and fell in love with -

- The hateful eight
- Flypaper
- Wild Strawberries

I think choosing one favorite book would not do the other books I love justice.

I have worked almost 20 jobs/internships in the last five years and would love to share my experiences. I want to learn about American politics and some new music since I only listen to Billboard's top hits.
