COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
i hosted a number of CS travellers at the time when I was living upper north in the Loire Valley, then down south on the Riviera where we hosted a few Riviera amateurs.
in summer 2009, we took advantage of the "network" for the first time as a family and had a splendid time across the States - which is definitely a place with great people and values.
Since I settled in Périgeux, I haven't had much chance of hosting anybody. But you're all welcome now!

On a more serious note, I regret the "Facebookisation" of Couchsurfing with people seeming more concerned with posting their profile and fun pictures rather than with actually hosting and caring... call me oldfashioned but well .. back in 2005, everybody responded to requests regardless of age and gender ..
