O mnie

CURRENT MISSION

I'm interested in world travel, surfing or playing music if possible, and making new aquaintances and friends along the way.

ABOUT ME

I love life and having adventures, but don't take up much space. I am very sensitive to positive and negative energy and much prefer being around people with a positive vibe.

I love to surf, dance, and make music. I enjoy art and beautiful things. I like activities that are creative, outdoors, and don't have to cost much money.

As for couch surfing: I don't drink, smoke, do drugs, curse or smell bad. I shouldn't be any trouble.

Random fact: I nearly never get motion sickness. A friend challenged me to a chair-spinning contest while I was on my lunch break at work. I ate and spinned. She struggled to stay in her spinning chair for the first five minutes, then stumbled over to a trash can and... well, you know. I taunted her by continuing to eat and spin for the remainder of my break. (She never had a chance at winning.)

PHILOSOPHY

I live life to its fullest, naturally. I love people and experiencing new places and cultures. I believe in the good in people.

Dlaczego jestem na Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I believe sharing is caring. You're welcome to stay on my couch but I am very sensitive to people's energies, so please bring your positive vibes and respect into my home.

My personal house-guest motto is: Leave it better than you found it. The place and the people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

After graduating college in 2007, I was in Hawaii with nowhere to live for three weeks, so different friends let me crash on their couches. One friend had other couch surfers who referred me to this site.

In 2012, a friend let me surf her couch in Seattle until I found a job. After my one-year contract ended, friends let me couch surf again until I purchased a rad '67 Chevy RV to camp in until I found my next job and place.

MOST-EXTREME EXPERIENCE

In 2009, I stayed at a homeless meth-addict woman's beach cave with two other friends... It was sketchy from the get-go but we didn't realize about the meth until halfway into the evening, after one friend had already fallen asleep. Probably shouldn't have done that. I feared for my safety a bit and didn't get much actual sleep. However, it was an awesome Swiss-family Robinson style setup and the experience of a lifetime, so I don't entirely regret it. She was friendly enough but YIKES!

Muzyka, filmy i książki

Movies: Roman Holiday, Pride & Prejudice, Steel Magnolias, 300, (basically a lot of chick flicks)

Music: very eclectic, folk, rock, alternative, oldies, big band, classical, indie, gypsy, ska, 70's disco, hip hop, pop, etc. (anything with good rhythm and composition that is either highly danceable or listenable)
Books: I love non-fiction, especially travel books and the "self-help" genre. Self-improvement is the best!

Jedna niesamowita rzecz, którą zrobiłem(-am)

I've hiked the Napali coast on Kauai, Hawaii. One of the most physically challenging yet beautiful experiences of my life.

Note: Be careful if camping/sleeping on the beach in Kauai. There is a possibility of getting run over by off-roaders.

Services I can barter in exchange for use of your couch:

I surf and can teach you if you want to learn and could get your hands on your own/rented board.

I majored in art, so I can teach some basics of painting, drawing, design, sculpture, jewelry, etc.

I played ukulele professionally and, while I'm no virtuoso, I can give you a good run-down of the basics.

I make some pretty awesome Mexican and Hawaiian food. Also, my gluten-free cinnimon rolls are "tops."

I'm great at men's haircuts. I can do women's too. All I need is a good pair of scissors and a comb.

I love a good conversation and making new friends. Anyone need a friend?

Czym mogę się podzielić z gospodarzami

Ukulele lessons or performances, art instruction, philosophical discussion, specialty-diet (paleo, keto, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, vegetarian, etc.) cooking/baking tips, my unique life experiences and my earliest childhood memories from age 1.
