ABOUT ME

VISIT MY TRAVEL BLOG I've been told I'm a very positive, polite, and respectful person who can get along with anyone. I enjoy good conversations and laughing with people of all ages and backgrounds.. everyone has something interesting to say (no matter how subtle it may be). I grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, attended private high school, 4-years of university, and spent two years in the corporate world while living in San Diego.

PHILOSOPHY

At 28, many people my age are getting married, having children and moving inch-by-inch up the corporate ladder. They breeze through weeks and months of their working lives only focusing on the coming weekend and the chance to earn an extra few days of vacation time to take that long awaited trip to Disney World in August. I'm a little different. I get bored easily by the daily ebb, flow and repetition of life. I consider myself a dreamer and a doer. I'm convinced that the inner child will never vanish within me. Experience through travel has made me who I am today and it will continue to shape my life indefinitely. I look forward to meeting you.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am in a transitional phase.. I've put my home in Bradenton up for rent and will be traveling throughout Argentina for three weeks (with my hip Mom) to visit an uncle. When I get back at the end of May I'm looking to relocate to the east coast of Florida to live closer to my girlfriend. After that.. ??? Save up some more $$ and pick a new destination :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not yet experienced couch surfing on a personal level. I first heard of CS.com about a year ago from a bartender (CookieJoe) while staying at a hotel in Key West, FL. My friends and I just finished up the "Swim Around Key West"... we started talking about traveling/meeting people over the internet and that's when CookieJoe overheard us and began to tell us ALL about his Adventures in Couch Surfing!

I'm a sucker for epic movies like Braveheart and artistically done flicks such as There Will Be Blood. My favorite books are the real life adventure books such as Into the Wild, Between a Rock and a Hard Place, Into Thin Air.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Packed up my backpack and boarded a plane to England... made my way counter clockwise through 21 countries and didn't see friends or family for 3mo. This was by far thn the most incredible experience of my life!

Mind Your Moneybelt: it's not a good idea to place your moneybelt in the top pocket of a fannypack then go shopping for sunglasses at a public market immediately after a night of drinking. Scratch the fannypack altogether.. rookie mistake :)
