Taking a sabbatical to travel and rediscover myself.

To get a local’s experience, learn about different cultures, and explore off the beaten path. I would love the opportunity to do volunteer work with children and youth.

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m a big R&B, afrobeats, dancehall, and hip hop fan. I love being exposed to different types of music. One of my favorite artists to see live is Beyoncé. I’ve been lucky to see her live 4 times! Movies, especially documentaries have always been a special interest of mine. I tend to read a lot of non-fiction books, poetry, and books that touch on culture and real issues. One of my favorite books is A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in the Philippines and worked with an NGO to eradicate child labor in the sugarcane fields for 2 years.
Teach, Learn, Share
Still learning a lot, but I think one of the best ways to do so is through cross-cultural exchanges.
