Staying with locals is probably the best way to experience a city, and, after all, hostel beds are rarely comfortable.
I've lived in a few different places and right now I'm in Helsink - cool! And cold.

Being friendly yet giving people their space, which might seem unfriendly and distant at first but proves to be the honest way to a friendship.

I haven't hosted yet, but have been hosted by a fun guy in Helsinki, and I hope there are more good experiences to come!

Interests

I like sleeping, I like couches, music, talking, not talking. many things actually. And each and every day I discover more. Thats also something I like. I'm really into food not bombs and vegan food/lifestyle and other critical topics, and I try to participate in and contribute to several projects which is one of my biggest interest I guess.. I like making and editing videos and photography too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is important. I'm into all kinds of music - I love all those old 80ies pop songs (Girls wanna have fu-un!) because they always make me smile..
I've been playing the piano for almost 15 years now, it's become a big part of my life.. I just started playing the accordion, and although it's quite challenging at first I think I like it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sitting on the roof of a building on a closed down horse-racing track watching the sun rise.
Swimming in some lake in the middle of finland at 8 o'clock in the morning after a punk festival.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach roller skating and I can show you how to play the piano :) And I'm a german teacher so you can learn that! I'd like to learn finnish and how to solce a magic cube.

Also I'm quite good at cooking (vegan) - so that's something I like to share.
