I am originally from Barbados. Grew up in the Bahamas and now live in the UK. I have two beautiful adult children but no pets. Have a varied career in teaching, administration and management. Now I write and love it - working on first of children's book series and a novel. Am an avid cook, gardener, love travelling but not flying. Neat and tidy, quiet, well spoken (potty-trained) and a light touch traveller. Love dancing and music. Don't smoke, love food action packed movies and chick flicks. Enjoy discussions. Have a wicked sense of humour. Love life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have to meet frequently with my illustrator in London and other business related meetings which until I become rich and famous (lol) is becoming costly. My friend who is a verified member told me about couch surfing. Kudos to who ever thought of it, it's brilliant. I love the idea of meeting and making new friends and visiting new places. I hope to be able to return the favour one day when I am fully settled. As a writer I get inspiration from the different people I meet and places I visit.

Love whatever sounds good, but lots of reggae, salsa, some classical, Handel's messiah, gospel, back in time, oldie goldies. Movies and books - murder and mayhem, spy and action packed thrillers, some comedy, great chick flicks and feel good movies

Held a diabetes classical concert fundraiser with very little knowledge - that was hair raising but great experience.
