Why I’m on Couchsurfing

What prompted me to join Couchsurfing: I want to volunteer in different parts of the world, but the organizations I work with don't always have the resources to put me up somewhere. My brother is a member of Couchsurfing and praised it as a way to host and travel, meet thoughtful travelers, gain new perspectives. I've had a very good life so far, but perhaps a little too focused on a small area. I want to spend more time away from my computer and devices, more time learning from other amazing people out there.
