About Me
Almost retired Speech Pathologist with 42 plus active years working! I have been an Airbnb Superhost but now have a couch surf spot for travelers in Garberville, Ca, the gateway to the Sinkyone Wilderness and on the way to Northern California beaches and pristine beauty!
When I travel to San Francisco I would like to be able to meet hosts and stay in reasonable spaces.
I sometimes travel with a grandchild---can be 10-17 depending on which one of many decides to hang with grandma!! We can bring bedding and towels to reduce work.....
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I needed a more stable income than Airbnb can offer at this time so I rented my spaces. But I love the idea of couchsurfing which travelers introduced me to. I live in a place that has few reasonable rentals for travelers and I enjoy meeting new folks from all over! I don't mind lower payments but I understand that Couchsurfing has no charge attached. Seems very interesting and fun and rewarding to me!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I work in an aquatic setting with my severely involved clients with speech pathology issues. I teach my colleagues how to do this wherever I am invited to teach! I have taught in the US in various states, Israel, India and my teaching partner is a professora in a university in Porto, Portugal, where we teach together either there or wherever we are asked to go. We have traveled together to Oregon in the US and taught at both university and private hospital settings in Portugal!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Energy; Watsu sessions by appointment; happy stories; my dog, Sam, who is kind and gentle and old like me!
No one believes my age...everyone says I look like in my 50's...I think that's weird!
Countries I’ve Visited
India, Israel, Mexico, Portugal
